| What
is 2DMovie.com?
2DMovie.com is a platform to showcase
primarily Indian movies so that
people can download and watch
their favorite movies from the
luxury of their home or wherever
they are, and whenever they want.
What
are the system requirements to
view movies from 2DMovie.com?
Your computer must meet the following
system requirements:
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Internet
Explorer 5.5 or higher
Microsoft Windows Media
Player 11
Broadband or High Speed
internet connection
Enough disk space to
save the video file
Do
I need an internet connection
to view movies?
No. You need a Broadband or High
Speed internet connection only
to download the video file and
for the license acquisition. First
time when you play the file, it
will prompt for a license acquisition
where you have to make the payment
and acquire a license. A dial-up
internet connection is sufficient
for this license acquisition process.
Once you download the movie and
acquire a license, you don't need
any internet connection to play
the video until your license expires.
Can
I copy the video file from one
computer to another?
You can copy the video file, but
cannot copy the license. So you
need to acquire a license from
the computer where you intend
to play the video file. When you
copy the video file to a different
computer and try to play, it will
prompt for a license acquisition,
where you can buy a new license
for that computer. So it is possible
that you can download the file
from a computer having broadband
connection, copy to your laptop,
and acquire a license to play
the video file on your laptop
through a dial-up connection.
Can
I watch the movie on my TV?
You cannot burn a DVD. But you
can connect your computer to TV
and watch the movie on TV screen.
See the below link for details
on how to connect your computer
to a TV:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/mediacenter/using/setup/connecttv.mspx
Do
I need to download the video file
again after a license expires?
No. You can play the same video
file and acquire a new license.
When the license expires, the
Windows Media Player will automatically
prompt for a new license acquisition.
Will
my rental validity period start
as soon as I download the movie?
No. Your rental validity period
starts only after you acquire
a license and click the play button.
So you can download in advance
and keep your movie file for future
viewing.
How
long will it take to download a movie?
It depends on your internet connection speed. We
recommend atleast a 512Kbps connection to download files from
2DMovie.com. It is normal to take 2 to 3 hours to download
a movie of file size 500MB, if you have a 512Kbps internet connection.
If you have a higher connection speed, the download time decreases,
and vice-versa.
How
to watch the movie in full-screen?
While the video is playing, press 'Alt+Enter' to get full-screen
view. To quit the full-screen mode, press 'Alt+Enter' again.
Also try 'Alt+1' for 50% video size, 'Alt+2' for 100% video size
and 'Alt+3' for 200% video size. Make sure you are pressing these
key combinations when the video is in play mode and not in pause.
The
video is stopping in between...
This happens when you try to play the movie in real-time
directly from the web server, when you don't have sufficent
internet speed. We always recommend you to first save
the video file to your local hard disc as explained in the
'Instructions' page. After saving the file, you can play it locally
from your hard disc. Please note that you don't have to make a payment to
download the file. You pay only when you play the video file.
I made the payment, and got
a page saying 'License Issued'. I pressed the 'Play'
button, but I don't see the movie...
This happens when you try to play the movie in real-time
by directly clicking the 'Download' button (instead of right-clicking
and choosing 'Save Target As'). This is due to a known issue that
the background download terminates by the time you purchase a license.
To overcome this problem, please close the Windows Media Player and
click the 'Download' button once again. This time, you will not be
prompted for a license acquisition as you already have one. The movie will
start playing right-away.
