Actor Jayaram has landed in some trouble over the remarks that he made recently, during a talk show for his latest release, Happy Husbands. He played one of three husbands in the film and his wife suspected that he was having an affair with their maid. During the talk show, Jayaram was reportedly asked if he would ever have an attraction for his maid in real life. To which Jayaram said some funny remarks about the maid, who incidentally is a Tamil woman.
Now, this enraged some Tamil groups and they attacked his home in Chennai, when the actor was away. Jayaram, a Tamil Brahmin, said that he was just mimicking his own lines from the film and has apologized for the remarks. The hero, who was currently shooting for Sathyan Anthikkad’s film at Kozhikode has returned to Chennai.
Tamilnadu CM M Karunanidhi has now requested all to forgive the hero for his remarks after the apology. Jayaram has stated that he has great respect for all Tamilians and he had no intentions to hurt anyone. Hope things will be fine now.
