Lal Jose’s remake of the MT Vasudevan Nair-Yusufali Kechery oldie, Neelathamara, has begun at Kuttippuram. The film has fresh faces in the lead and is being produced by Revathy Kalamandir. The original had Ambika, Ravikumar and Sathar in the main roles. Lal Jose has stated that the film will have a contemporary story but the essence of the original has been retained.
