The shooting of director Akku Akbar’s Kana Kanmani has started in Kochi. The first phase of the shooting has been completed at Kuttikkanam. The film has been scripted by K Gireeshkumar and has Jayaram and Padmapriya in the lead. The trio of Akku, Gireesh and Jayaram are teaming up for the first time after the block buster, Veruthe Oru Bharya. Gireesh had scripted Jayaram's Samastakeralam P O, which was directed by Bipin Prabhakar.
Jayaram and Padmapriya play a couple who belongs to two different castes. They have a daughter named Anagha, played by Baby Nivedita. Vipin Mohan handles the camera. The film produced by AAAN Media and Moser Baer, is being distributed by Mammootty’s Play House.
