The pooja of Mammootty’s new film, Chattambinadu, was held on Sep 4 at Anchumana temple in Kochi. The film is directed by Shafi and has script by Benny P Nayarambalam. The shooting will start at Palani on Sep 9 and most of the shooting will be done at Pollachi. The cinematographer is Manoj Pillai and the music director is Alex Paul. Several big names from the industry including director Siddique, Renji Panickar and Ranjith, actors like Kunchacko Boban and Jayasurya were present at the occasion.
It was an important day for Mammootty, as the day saw the release of Kana Kanmani, distributed by his home production company, Play House.
