| How does
it work? |
| The digital format (DVD) of the
movie is protected using latest
encryption technologies and freely
distributed to users via internet
(broadband) or any other medium.
This protected video can be played
only after acquiring a digital license.
Users make online payment and purchase
a license over the internet to play
the video. Different rules can be
applied while issuing a license,
for eg., a license can be issued
only to view the video for 7 days
after which a new license has to
be bought. Or a license can be issued
only to play 5 times.
The protected video can be viewed
only by playing in the same computer
from which the payment is made.
It cannot be copied and viewed
from another computer without
buying a separate license from
that computer. This controls piracy
as compared to a normal DVD. |
